1. Refund Policy Overview
Brazil eVisa maintains a comprehensive refund policy designed to protect the interests of visa applicants. This policy outlines the circumstances under which refunds may be issued, procedures for requesting refunds, processing timelines, and any applicable fees.
Our refund policy applies to all eVisa fees paid through our platform for Visitor, Business, and Transit visa categories.
Note: eVisa fees are distinct from any service fees charged by payment processors. This policy complies with Brazilian regulations, international visa service standards, and consumer protection laws.
2. Non-Refundable Circumstances
Certain circumstances result in non-refundable eVisa fees:
Processing After Submission
Once your eVisa application has been submitted to Brazilian consular authorities for processing, the fee becomes non-refundable.
Application Completed
If you have completed your eVisa application and submitted payment, the fee is generally non-refundable even if you change your travel plans.
Approved eVisa
Once your eVisa has been approved and issued, no refund is available regardless of whether you ultimately travel to Brazil.
Denial of Application
If your eVisa application is denied by Brazilian authorities, the fee is non-refundable as it covers the cost of processing.
Incorrect Information
If you intentionally or negligently provide false, incomplete, or misleading information, the fee is non-refundable.
3. Refundable Circumstances
Brazil eVisa recognizes certain circumstances where refunds may be warranted:
Payment Processing Errors
If eVisa fees are charged multiple times due to technical glitches or system errors, you are eligible for a refund of the duplicate amount.
Service Unavailability
If our website or application platform experiences significant technical outages preventing you from completing your application, you may be eligible for a refund.
Unauthorized Transactions
If eVisa fees are charged to your payment method without your authorization, you may request a refund by providing evidence of unauthorized transaction.
4. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, follow these steps:
Initiate Request
Submit a refund request through your Brazil eVisa account portal or email us with details of your request.
Provide Documentation
Include all relevant documentation supporting your refund claim such as payment confirmations, transaction receipts, or technical error screenshots.
Timeline Requirement
Submit your refund request within 90 days of the original transaction date.
Account Verification
Ensure that the account submitting the refund request matches the account associated with the original transaction.
5. Refund Processing Timeline
Upon approval of your refund request, Brazil eVisa processes the refund according to these timelines:
Initial Review
Our team conducts an initial review to determine eligibility
Investigation
Complex requests may require thorough investigation
Processing
Refund processing after approval (+ 3-5 days for bank)
Note: Credit card and debit card refunds are returned to the card account used for the original transaction. You can track your refund status through your Brazil eVisa account.
6. Brazil Immigration Processing Times
Please note that our estimated processing times (7-12 working days for regular, 5-7 working days for express) are guidelines only and represent our typical processing timeframe. However, the final processing and approval of your eVisa depends on Brazilian immigration authorities.
Processing Times Beyond Our Control:
- •Brazil immigration may take considerably longer than estimated processing times
- •Delays can occur due to government processing backlogs or high application volumes
- •Government holidays and system maintenance may cause extended delays
- •Additional document requests from Brazilian authorities may extend processing
Important: Brazil eVisa is not liable for delays caused by Brazilian immigration authorities or any other factors beyond our control. We strongly recommend planning your travel accordingly and not making non-refundable bookings until you have received your approved eVisa.
7. Travel Booking Recommendations
Do NOT Purchase Non-Refundable Tickets or Bookings
Critical Warning: Do not purchase airline tickets, hotel accommodations, tours, or any other non-refundable travel arrangements BEFORE your eVisa has been officially approved and received.
Recommended Timeline:
- 1.Apply for your eVisa through our platform
- 2.Receive approval email with your eVisa PDF
- 3.Download and print your approved eVisa
- 4.THEN book your flights, hotels, and other travel arrangements
Liability Disclaimer: Brazil eVisa is not responsible or liable for any losses, damages, or expenses incurred due to travel booking delays or cancellations caused by your eVisa not being approved in time. This includes airline ticket losses, hotel cancellation fees, tour package costs, or any other travel-related expenses.
6. Exceptions & Special Circumstances
Brazil eVisa acknowledges that exceptional circumstances may warrant consideration outside standard refund policy:
Documented Hardship
Applicants facing significant documented financial hardship may request reconsideration, though this does not guarantee refund approval.
Force Majeure Events
In cases of natural disasters, wars, or pandemics, Brazil eVisa may exercise discretion in granting refunds or credits.
Regulatory Changes
If Brazilian authorities implement changes that invalidate your visa application category, affected applicants may be eligible for refunds.
7. Chargeback & Payment Disputes
Applicants have rights through their financial institutions to challenge transactions:
Chargebacks
If you dispute an eVisa charge with your credit card company, they may initiate a chargeback process. Brazil eVisa will cooperate fully with investigations.
Important Warning
Filing a chargeback does not preclude you from filing a refund request, but attempting to obtain refunds through both simultaneously may constitute fraud.
Payment Processor Disputes
If you file a dispute through your payment processor, we will investigate and respond directly to your processor.
8. Reapplication After Refund or Denial
Applicants who receive refunds or whose applications are denied may reapply for an eVisa:
- ✓You must submit a new application through our platform
- ✓Previous applications cannot be reused - all required fields must be completed anew
- ✓New applications require full payment of current eVisa fees
- ✓Check application requirements carefully before reapplying
